Elegant Cosmetic Boxes 

Our clients One Seed, are an Adelaide based, cruelty free natural perfumery who use pure botanical ingredients, with at least 80% organic content. We worked closely with them to produce 9ml and 30ml boxes to package their beautiful perfumes.

We wanted to create a sustainable packaging solution but cosmetic and perfume packaging typically uses plastic or foam inserts. We also had the added issue of how to deboss 13 different patterned spots on the boxes. 

To create these boxes we sourced high quality recycled paper and boards, made with 55% pure certified FSC ® fibres, 40% recycled fibres and 5% cotton fibres.  We decided to eliminate foam and plastic by using paper inserts for a more recyclable solution. To create the different patterned spots we used a German foil stamping machine with an auto registration system that only had a 0.1mm variation.

To reflect One Seed’s overarching values about natural cosmetics, transparency with their products and ingredients, and minimalism they opted for a simple aesthetic and easy to use design. Debossing was added to reflect the inner beauty of their products and to represent an aerial view of the Australian landscape.
