Fedrigoni’s Sustainable Development
Fedrigoni realised that as a global enterprise, it not only needs to achieve good financial performance but also prolonged impact on society. Therefore, Fedrigoni has always regarded ESG standards as its key performance indicators and collected data and objectives in the ESG in its first sustainability report. In addition, Fedrigoni has also launched a sustainable development policy to ensure the advanced quality of products and services by highlighting the skills and integrity of employees and partners.
The European Green Deal Investment Plan proposed by the European Commission on January 14, 2020, aims to attract sustainable investment of at least € 1 trillion over the next decade to support the transition of private and public organizations to a climate-neutral, green, competitive, and inclusive economy. At the same time, climate and sustainability risks are increasingly regarded as investment risks and sustainable projects/assets increasingly receive a larger amount of capital investment. Therefore, investors will increasingly take ESG indicators into account when evaluating which companies to invest in. Fedrigoni has also included ESG in the 2030 strategic blue book as a guiding light for its progress.

In order to limit the impact of single-use plastic packaging on the ecosystem, Fedrigoni has been innovating and creating beautiful, sustainable, and high-performance alternatives. Under the guidance of its 2030 sustainability goal, Fedrigoni is in the transition of gradually replacing plastic packaging with biodegradable materials (such as paper) to contribute to a future of zero plastic packagings.
By 2030, Fedrigoni promises to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions (scope 1 and scope 2) by 30%, which shares the same goal indicated in the Paris Agreement-holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels.
